A bitterly cold night, well below zero, saw me in the Brecon Beacons making some long exposures. I have always wanted to shoot stars in the Brecon Beacons with snow on the ground, so when I saw that conditions were perfect I couldn't wait! By the time I had finished, I was wearing 3 layers on my legs (thermals, fleece lined trousers, waterproof trousers) and 7 layers on my torso (thermals, base layer, 2 x micro fleeces, fleece coat, outer shell, waterproof coat). I was warm enough to sit on the frozen ground for 40 minutes whilst my black camera bag turned white with frost! In this photo, the Andromeda Galaxy is just visible! The white misty bit in the middle is part of the Milky Way and the cluster of stars to the left of the center at the top are the Pleiades.

The photos are printed on museum quality 310gsm matt photographic paper which is lightly textured to give a luxurious finish.
