Bioluminescent Plankton

Bioluminescent Plankton at Aberavon, Wales

With all the bioluminescence that has been happening on the South Wales coastline recently, it meant we just had to get out and see it for ourselves. It had been seen on Oxwich Bay on Friday night, so Saturday night saw us at Oxwich Bay waiting for the magic to happen. But nothing happened…. There were a lot of disappointed people. As I came back to the car from checking out the water, a car ……

This Photo was Taken with Pain

Mewslade Bay, Gower

There are times when you have to suffer a little for your art and Sunday was one such day. We took a family trip to Mewslade Bay and I, of course, took my camera with me. When we got there it was overcast but we could see that the sun would soon be coming out. Sure enough it did and I took a few photos. However, I couldn’t quite get the angle I wanted. The ……

When I processed them later, I found that I preferred the ‘false colour’ ……

Sunrise at Brandy Cove

Brandy Cove

We’ve met before at my exhibitions but this was the first time out taking photos. Landscape Photography is a lonely business, often working alone, so it’s always nice to meet up with people. From Caswell, we walked the coast path to ……

Upper Clydach River in Pontardawe

Cwm Du Glen where the Upper Clydach River has carved a gorge is just minutes from our house. We’ve lived there for 4.5 years and I’ve only just gotten around to photographing these falls and bridge! I would normally have waded into the river to take photos, but the rocks were incredibly slippery and the water a little too fast…
