After becoming bogged down in admin work, I decided it was high time that I headed out for some photography. The forecast was for it to be misty all day, clearing for sunset and night. The Plough in the Brecon Beacons

When I was at Craig Cerrig-gleisiad a few weeks ago for an astrophotography evening, I took a photo of the Plough using my 50mm f1.8 lens. I finally got around to processing it, but only thanks to a Photoshop plug-in I was trying out.

The plug-in, StarSpikes Pro 2, finds the brightest stars and brightens them further adding a ‘spike’ to them. Without it, this particular photo didn’t work so ……
