A Quick Trip to The Black Mountains

Llangorse Lake and Pen y Fan from Mynydd Llangorse

We finally had some spare time and the weather forecast was good so we jumped into the car and headed east to Mynydd Llangorse. We climbed part of the hill in the diffuse sunlight, keeping an eye on the band of clear sky that we knew would give us beautiful side lighting. Worm’s Head and Rhossili Bay in Heather

It’s the time of year for heather to come out on Rhossili Down again, so last night I met with Emma and we walked up to the top of Rhossili Down. At our first stop, I used my tilt-shift lens to get close to the heather and emphasise it. It was pretty windy though, so the heather had some motion blur but there wasn’t much I could do about it.
