Caswell Bay in the Early Hours

Caswell Bay with Airglow

After my visit to Three Cliffs Bay, I wasn’t ready to head home yet so I thought about where I could go next. It was around 1am and I was starting to get tired so Caswell Bay was the obvious place as I didn’t have to walk far from the car. I parked the car in the very empty car park and nipped up on to the coast path. I took a few shots and ……

Four Beaches in One Day

Caswell Bay

It was without any planning or warning that we took the day off work yesterday. Well, I say day off, we took the day off from work to work. Langland Bay and Caswell Bay

With the weather being mostly pouring rain this week, I headed out on the only good half day that was forecast and was joined by Paula and Piran. We parked at Langland Bay and walked to Caswell Bay, stopping to take photos along the way. We even discovered a new path that took us above Caswell Bay so we could look down on the beach! I’ve always struggled to get a good photo of Caswell ……

Caswell Bay

I seem to be among the minority, but I really don’t like Caswell Bay. It embodies everything I dislike about tourism – chip shops, tacky souvenirs and a cafe. (OK, a cafe isn’t so bad!). Then when you walk past the stench of stale chips (yes, it stunk at 5:15am this morning!) and onto the beach, you are overlooked by hotels or chalets. However, it seems a lot of people do like Caswell Bay and ……
