Three Cliffs Bay in Infrared

Three Cliffs Bay in Infrared

Yesterday I had the delight of running a One to One half day Landscape Photography Workshop. Once again I was fortunate with the weather and, although cold, it didn’t rain. One of our stops was an amazing viewpoint overlooking Three Cliffs Bay. I spotted the patterns in the rock and suggested my workshop attendee use them as foreground. Whilst she was photographing the scene, I used my Infrared converted camera to take this photo.

Infrared on Moel Gornach

Summit cairn on Moel Gornach, Black Mountain

The wet weather has finally broken so, being half term and my wife working, I took my two children (2yrs and 5yrs) for a walk in the Brecon Beacons. We walked a short 1.5 miles and ascended 135m to have morning snack at 616m asl on the summit of Moel Gornach. The children were brilliant and enjoyed every second of the walk. I even managed to get some photography in using my Infrared camera. This ……

Quoit a Day!

Apologies for the poor pun in the title! Every so often, it’s possible to have one of those rare days that are perfect and this was one of those days. New Gower Mono Collection

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while and when Willow was sick last week I couldn’t go out so had time to make a small collection of black and white photos of Gower. Three Cliffs Bay

On Saturday Paula, Willow and I walked to Three Cliffs Bay from Parkmill; the first time we’ve done that walk! The weather was warm and sunny, pretty good for this time of year. I managed to take a few photos between drawing in the sand with Willow and throwing stones in the water.

Backlog…

I have a dream that one day I won’t have a backlog of photos to process… I’m not sure it’ll ever happen, but periodically I process a lot of photos in one go. Here’s one from our family holiday in the Lake District in March 2009.

Pen y Fan Walk

I took my in-laws on a walk to Pen y Fan yesterday via the ridge ascent from the Neuadd reservoirs. It was pretty windy, but hot and I ended up with sunburnt hands as I didn’t think to put suncream on them – oops! I took a few photos, but the weather wasn’t great photo weather. Here’s Pen y Fan:
