Weather Forecasts

As a photographer, I need to have a good idea of what the weather will be like tomorrow or even over the next few hours. The Met Office are the government funded weather forecaster, so it would seem sensible to use them. However, I’ve noticed on several occasions that I check the weather at 6am and make a decision on what to do that day only to find out that the forecast has changed by ……

Nadolig Llawen and a Happy New Year

This will, most probably, be my last blog post of 2011 so it’s time to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I started to think about how I could use maps and GPS together to my advantage rather than just as an indulgence, so started in investigate ……

A Photographic Journey Around … Gower

A few years ago, I self-published a book entitled ‘A Photographic Journey Around … Gower’. Early this year, I started work on the second edition. It is vastly different to the first edition. It now had twice as many pages and is hardback. Most of the photos are new since the first edition and the style of the book had been radically changed too. It is still full of fascinating historical, geological and geographical information ……

Gower 2011 Summer Exhibition

The last 5 days have been very busy as it has been my annual Gower photo exhibition in Mumbles. I was joined by local photographer Emma Jones who also displayed some of her work. Over the 5 days I have met a lot of very nice people, chatted about a variety of topics, learnt a bit more about my star trail photos from an expert and sold a lot of photos! It has been my ……
