Happy New Year and No VAT

Happy New Year to everyone! Hope you all had a good Christmas break. Everyone in the UK will be aware that the VAT rate went up today. You’ll be pleased to know that as I’m not VAT registered, I don’t charge VAT so my prices won’t be going up :-) I will pay more to various suppliers but I shall absorb those costs myself as they’re pretty minimal. Brecon Craft Fair

Tomorrow’s Brecon Craft Fair (18th December 2010) has been cancelled so unfortunately I shan’t be there with my stall – the A470 between Merthyr and Brecon is closed so I couldn’t have got there anyway. If anyone’s desperate for any last minute gifts, please let me know and we can see what we can do – if you can get to Swansea then there shouldn’t be a problem. Pen y Bicws

Last week I went out to a place that overlooks Carreg Cennen Castle, but found it was really the wrong time of year for the angle. Instead, I took this photo of Pen y Bicws (also called Trichrug):

Landscape Photographer of The Year

A few weeks ago, I had an email from Take A View’s Landscape Photographer of the Year competition stating that “although your image did not receive the main award, it did reach the very short final list and judge, Charlie Waite, feels that it deserves commendation”!
