There are times when you have to suffer a little for your art and Sunday was one such day. We took a family trip to Mewslade Bay and I, of course, took my camera with me. When we got there it was overcast but we could see that the sun would soon be coming out. Sure enough it did and I took a few photos. However, I couldn’t quite get the angle I wanted. The solution was obvious – I would have to get in the water. I took my shoes and socks off and rolled my jeans up. I walked into the sea water – oh my goodness, it was cold! I gritted my teeth and pushed through the pain on my feet. Before long, I was through the pain barrier and the water felt comfortable enough. I took a few photos trying to get the wave in just the right position. This is the best one of the day.
With the shot in the bag, I got out of the water. The wind was pretty strong, the air temperature cold and my feet were numb. I dried my feet off quickly and got my socks and shoes back on. My feet were hurting quite a lot now but I was buzzing with the effort of the evening.
