When I was at Craig Cerrig-gleisiad a few weeks ago for an astrophotography evening, I took a photo of the Plough using my 50mm f1.8 lens. I finally got around to processing it, but only thanks to a Photoshop plug-in I was trying out.
The plug-in, StarSpikes Pro 2, finds the brightest stars and brightens them further adding a ‘spike’ to them. Without it, this particular photo didn’t work so well as the Plough wasn’t very visible at all. Here it is before the plug-in.
