Competition Good News

I won’t tell you which which image, but one of my photos has been shortlisted in the Photographer of the Year competition which means it has made it to the final judging! According to the email, they had thousands of entries so this is quite an achievement for me!

The Brecon Craft Fair last Saturday was very good – I sold seven 2010 Calendars of the Brecon Beacons. I was surprised to sell that many in July, but very pleased! I’m working flat out on my exhibition in August – I have an advert and a short editorial piece about it in the forthcoming issue of the Mumbles Community Times. I’m really looking forward to the exhibition – it will be six days of hard work, but good. Last year I worked over 100 hours during the week of the Mumbles Art and Craft Cooperative show to keep my display replenished, so I’m hoping this year will be good too. I’ve reprocessed a couple of photos from years ago with Capture 1, the output of which is vastly improved to what I had available when I originally processed them. Here’s two of them:

Well done at the short listing! I’ve been on the short list all my life, but yours is special ;-) I really love that reprocessed Whiteford Sands photo :-)
