The photos are mounted on pH neutral archival card which is lightly textured and off-white. The card border is generally 5cm (4.5cm for 24x30cm and 6cm for 35x60cm) all around the photo, although slight cropping of the photo may be needed to fit it to the appropriate size. Mounted prints are supplied in a clear plastic sleeve and packaged between thick corrugated cardboard to elimate damage in transit - I have sent photos across the Atlantic packaged in this way and the photo was in perfect condition when it arrived. The frame is made from wood and glass.
