Show Basket (0 items costing £0.00)As I type this, I am feeling rather ill having either contracted Willow’s virus or given myself food poisoning by eating raw rhubarb (I used to eat it as a child, but have heard to can play havoc with your stomach!) As a result, I got very little sleep last night.
I was given a tip that photos of Mumbles from West Cross sell well and that the daffodils were out, so yesterday I took a trip there at sunrise.

Things may be a little quiet of the new photo front as I need to put a lot of work in on getting stock ready for the Brecon Craft Fair next month. I almost always end up rushing and am determined not to this time. I’ve got 60 photos to mount if all goes well, plus the usual coasters, etc. to make up if I haven’t got enough stock left. Plus it’s raining at the moment, so definitely no new photos today…
In the meantime, I will trickle photos from the Lake District to keep the blog updated. The photo below was taken on the last day – we lost the path in the mist and used the drop off one side as a hand-rail, crossed a stream and took a compass bearing from that and ended up on the path! Then the mist suddenly cleared and we saw the sight below. Someone told us we were on Harrison Stickle, and we stupidly took their word for it, relieved to stop concentrating so hard on the navigation. We then descended down to the valley, but on a different path to planned so had a shorter walk. It was good nonetheless though.

I’m just back from a week of walking in the Lake District. Fantastic weather for March, although I was surprised to get sunburnt! I’m fairly dark skinned and when I was a child I didn’t burn at all despite spending lots of time outdoors. Rather worrying really…
I took 458 photos with my Canon 5D Mark II whilst away. I started with a fully charged battery and after all those photos, it is showing 52% charge remaining! They’ve definitely done well with the battery technology!
Whilst away, I sold a 5ftx2ft canvas of Three Cliffs Bay and have been commissioned to write a couple of things for a magazine – details when published. There’s a lot to do now with the first craft fair of the year next month as I’m greatly improving my display! There will be photos from the Lake District soon…
I received my first perspex print during the week and it looks amazing! Mounted on the wall, it sits pround and the light flows into the perspex from all four sides which makes the photo stand out and look absolutely stunning! I haven’t worked out the pricing structure yet, but will do shortly and will add it to the buying page. Here are a couple of photos of it. Incidentally, the close-up of the corner was taken at ISO6400 with my Canon EOS 5D Mark II and is very useable with good noise levels!

I also received my mount cutter from Longridge during the week and the first mount I cut came out with perfect corners! Very highly recommended.
And finally, I’ve finished the Buy section of this site so everything can now be ordered online!
I have been working on the buy section today and coasters and mouse mats can now be purchased online! The other products will be added soon.
I have just updated the photos galleries – new photos will have a red ‘new’ below them.
Inspirations, the shop in Swansea that sells my work, is continuing to do very well. Look out for more of my work appearing there soon. There is currently a slate engraved photo of my best selling Three Cliffs Bay which looks fantastic. Also check out my two 5ftx2ft panoramas in the window by the door (as is the slate engraving). The will hopefully soon be a perspex photo of mine on sale there too – it’s being produced as I type.
I recently took my new camera to photograph my favourite waterfall in Wales (which also happens to be where Paula and I got engaged)
